Funagata Bag XL, Brown

The Funagata bag by Kazumi Takigawa blends natural materials with a distinctive silhouette inspired by the simplicity of a paper bag. Each piece is made from sturdy cotton canvas and colored using organic, plant-based dyes such as coffee, tea, oolong, and traditional mordants like alum and iron.

A waxed finish gives the bag structure while allowing it to gradually soften and develop character with use. If you’d like to restore its firmness or smooth out fine creases, gently iron it or warm it with a hair dryer, then let it cool. Designed with a single main compartment.
